Ladies and gentlemen, we gather here today to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Alex McClendon, a loving husband, dedicated father, esteemed brother, and cherished friend. Alex McClendon, born on December 31, 1945, touched the lives of many through his impactful career as an Electric Engineer and his unwavering service in the US Navy.


Throughout his life, Alex McClendon exemplified strength, kindness, and a deep commitment to his family and country. His education in the Public Schools of Taylor County laid the foundation for a successful career that not only shaped his own life but also benefited countless others.


Alex's passion for serving his country was evident in his time spent in the US Army. His bravery and dedication will always be remembered by those who knew him. 

Alex was preceded in death by his parents Alex McClendon, Sr. Dessie Mae Carter McClendon, Sister Mae Jesse McClendon Rogers.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Andrea Lowe-McClendon, his son Gerald (Treshell) McClendon and daughter Lisa (Rodney) Washington. In this time of grief, may they find solace in the memories they shared with Alex.


Alex's presence will be deeply missed by his brother Fletcher McClendon, sisters Bessie (Toby Scott) Montford, and Mattie Yates Together, they have formed bonds that cannot be broken even by death.


In this moment of loss, let us remember the joy Alex brought into our lives. His legacy will live on through those he loved and inspired especially his whole family which includes a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many other dear friends.


Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Funeral Service scheduled to be held on March 9th, 2024 at New Providence Church in Reynolds, GA.


May we find comfort in each other as we bid farewell to a remarkable individual whose light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever. Alex McClendon's memory will forever remain etched in our minds as a beacon of love, courage, and unwavering dedication. Rest in peace.
