Bennie “Bro” Raines

Bennie Clifford Raines was born to the parents of the late Willie Clifford Raines and Mrs. Vester Sanders Raines on July 12, 1950. He attended the public schools in Reynolds Georgia. He joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church at an early age where he served as a member of the choir. 

On Saturday, November 23, 2024 he peacefully transition from his earthly home to his heavenly home. 

He was known for his love of fishing, agriculture, sports including basketball and football, gospel music and talking to family and friends.

 On August 28, 1977 he married the love of his life, Joyce Bakon. To this union three children were born.

 He leaves to cherish his memory His wife of 47 years Joyce Raines Reynolds Georgia, three children Kervin (Dena) Raines Warner Robins Georgia, Keary (Amber) Raines Atlanta Georgia, Keisha Raines Reynolds Georgia One devoted granddaughter Timia Raines Warner Robins, four sisters Mary (Wallace) Flowers Reynolds Georgia, Gladis (Clarence) James, Montezuma Georgia, Dinah (Dennis) Townes Reynolds, Georgia Rosa Raines Reynolds, Georgia  Two sister preceded him in death Nellie Raines and Lizzie ( Donnie ) Blasingame. Five brothers Willie (Ida) Raines, Remus Raines both of Reynolds, Georgia, Amos (Tiffany) Raines,  Fort Valley, Georgia, Bill (Angela) Raines, Yatesville, Georgia Melvin ( Keisha) Raines, Perry, Georgia, three brothers preceded him in death Alton Raines, Jimmie Raines, Wilbur Raines,  Two Aunts Louvenia Evans, Atlanta, Georgia, Sweety Mae Taylor, Fort Myers, Florida. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends  who sorrowfully mourn his passing.
