Franklin Harvey was born on July 11, 1962 in Roberta, Ga to the parents of the late Mr. James Harvey and Mrs. Helen Trice. Franklin was known around the community as Tim.
Franklin attended Crawford County and Taylor County public schools. Throughout his life, Franklin worked tirelessly in many roles, especially in factories and landscaping, where he was respected for his dedication and reliability.
Franklin was known for his sharp sense of humor and ability to make others laugh, even during difficult times. He had a deep love for his family and was fiercely protective of those he cared about. A strong-willed and determined man, Franklin stood firm in his beliefs and approached life with resilience and strength. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of security to everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed grilling, spending time with his family and friends, singing (especially Gospel music), and enjoying his life.
Franklin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was called home on May 15, 2025. He is preceded in death by his sister, Ms. Betty Jean Harvey and three brothers, Mr. Tracey Harvey, Mr. Kerry Harvey, and Mr. Charlie Harvey, all of Butler, Ga.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Helen Trice- Hicks, wife, Mrs. Juanita Harvey of Butler, Ga, and three children, Mrs. Sheewann (Patrick) Ross of Fort Valley, Ga, Mrs. Bernita (Wesley Sr.) Allen of Kathleen, Ga, and Mr. Tyler Lee of Long Beach, California. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Kenyadia Heath and Patience Ross of Fort Valley, Ga, Jayla Allen, Wesley Allen Jr., and Jace Allen all of Kathleen, Ga, his siblings, Ms. Florine Harvey and Ms. Bonnie Harvey, both of Atlanta, Ga, Ms. Mary Harvey, Ms. Pauline Harvey, Mr. Willie (Dorris) Harvey, Mr. Lynwood (Detta) Harvey, Lakisha (Tommy) Boyington all of Butler, Ga, Christopher Harvey of Waycross, Ga, and a host of aunts, a uncle, nieces, nephews, and cousins who he loved. He leaves behind a long-life companion, Ms. Arlene Howell and a very devoted friend, Mr. Terry Peeples of Butler, Ga.
Franklin is no longer in pain, and may he now rest in peace as his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of his mother, kids, grandkids, siblings, family, and friends who loved him.
