Geneva Huff McCrary was born in Detroit Michigan to the parents of the late Ezell Huff and the late Roze Lane Huff. She grew up and attended the public schools there. Geneva was a industrial woman who was not afraid to work and build a life.
Geneva was a hard worker and never ran from a challenge. She would meet any challenges brave as any person of strength and tenacity would.
Geneva met and married the love of her life Major McCrary. He swept her off her feet with his southern charm which lead them on a journey of love, fun and friendship, to this union a lovely daughter was born Paris McCrary.
Geneva did a Naomi said in the Bible where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay and your people will be my people; and so it was Geneva moved to Georgia and lived her life. In Georgia she acquired friends and family along the way.
Geneva was maticulious when cam down to her work. She was employed by Sara Lee bakery Inc. She was a warehouse facilitator in stocking. She was a High Fork Lifter Operator.
Geneva was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She loved her church and the local fellowship of members who were there.
Geneva was know for her stern, “no non scene” approach when it came to life. If you didn’t want it straight you didn’t come to Geneva for answers because she would always shoot straight from the hip.
Geneva will be remembered for he love of Kool cigarettes, working in her yard, planting flowers, and watching her favorite TV shows Jerry Springer and the Maury Povich.
Geneva was predeceased by her sister Madeline Davis and her husband Major McCrary
Left to cherish her memory are her only daughter, who cared for her til the very end Paris McCrary, one brother John Grays, and a devoted friend over 60 years Carletha Fudd, One she regarded as a son who also was her caretaker Joey (Lesile) Green, one she regarded as grandson Jorden “Lil Joe” and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
