Juanita Reeves Currelley, a beloved soul known for her dedication to her work at the Florida Golf Resorts and her vibrant personality, has passed away at the age of 87. Born on September 10, 1936, in Butler, Georgia, Juanita's journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on April 22, 2024, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.
Juanita's zest for life was evident in everything she did. Her charismatic and uplifting spirit could light up any room, leaving those around her laughing and cherishing every moment shared. Whether she was working hard at the Florida Golf Resorts or pursuing her hobby of cooking and babysitting, Juanita always brought joy to those in her presence.
Among Juanita's many accomplishments in life, one that she held dear to her heart was singing in the church choir at St. Phillip AME, Her voice touched the hearts of many and uplifted congregation with its beauty and grace.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who knew her. Juanita is survived by her daughter-in-law Marilyn Reeves, her grandchildren Jocelyn Reeves, Michael Reeves, William Reeves, Jessica Hart-Reeves, Mariah Dugger, Caregiver Mitisha Dugger, Marcus Gray, Siblings Kennth Reeves, Anthony Reeves, Alisan Reeves, Dona Reeves. Step siblings Bobby Daniels, Alvin Daniels, Clara Miller, Annie ( Homer) Thornton, devoted cousin Doris Williams and Alphonso King. She was preceded in death by her son Viol Reeves; her husband Billy Currelley; and her father Thomas Reeves, grandson Antonio Ogburn. In this time of mourning, let us remember Juanita for the warmth she brought into our lives and the joy she spread wherever she went.
Services to celebrate Juanita's life will be held on April 29, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM at St. Phillip A.M.E Church located at 48 M.L.K. Jr Rd in Butler, Georgia. The Funeral Service will be a time to honor Juanita's memory and share stories of the incredible woman she was.
