Kimberly Slayton-Mathis was born In Louisville Kentucky on November 29, 1966 to the parents of Claude Lee Slayton and Virginia Screws Slayton.

She grew up and attended the public schools of the area. She was smart and charming young lady who knew that her destiny was calling her to make a difference in the world.

She had a very uplifting spirit that was sure to reach those around. Laughter, fun and good vibes were sure to be the focal point of the day. Kimberly was known as the home body. Give her, her western and remote she was in her zone; but when she had that urge to get out shopping was her thing to do. She loved her family and family time was the center of her heart. She was purple girl that being her favorite color. Kimberly’s favorite eat was a good delicious piece of cheesecake.

Kimberly was employed with the team of Administration workers who served as clerk assistant of student affairs with the Bibb County School District. She loved children and was a motivator of our youth by inspiring them to greatness.

She met and married Gary Mathis in which she shared her life with.
