The life of Le’Ophelia Wells affectionate known as “Sister” began on October 2, 1964 in Macon County, Georgia with Eddie Lee Wells and Ophelia Lamb Wells as her parents. She grew up attended the public schools of the area.
Sister was never slighted on love. She was born Special and was loved in that way. A family Nucleus of love and care was always centered on her needs, to know her was to love her and adore who she was. She Possessed A very unique personality that was sure to light up the room, Some of sisters favorite things was music. She loved music and truly enjoyed dancing. She was known for her excitement each year when the Annual Valentine’s Dance was held at her center she attended. She was known to come dressed in her best to impress, after she would take her Glamor Shots on to the dance floor she would go.
Sister’s favorite meal was Hamburgers and French Fries this would always warm her heart. Her favorite outing was her trips to Captain D’s. Sister was Adventurous in her own world.
She loved church where she attended Upper Room Apostolic Holiness Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia. It was the place she could express herself in praise and dance and did it each time she would attend. One of her favorite sayings was “she loved Jesus Christ in her heart And Jesus was her boyfriend”. Many people struggle with their faith but Sister had her focus straight and clear as it was well said by her Jesus is the only one for me.
Sister too had her challenges in life as we all do but her God always saw her through them all. Sister traded it all in on June 9, 2025 to be with the one she loved in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Carson, Fannie Williams, Lola Flower, Annie Bell McKellar, Mary Magalene Wells, Bonnie Mae (Fred) Egins, and Pete Riley.
Le’Ophelia life & legacy will remain a life remembered by her family: Sisters Freddie Mae Carson, NY, Everlyn Wells NY, Thelma Daniels Oglethorpe, GA, Louise (Jessie) Wells Atlanta, GA. Her Rock & Caregiver through it all Rosa Lee Riley Reynolds, GA. Brothers: Robert (Mildred) Wells, James Wells, Andrew Wells, William (Ann) Wells. Sister-in-law Janie Wells, NC. Brother-in- law Jimmy Daniels Oglethorpe GA. Robbie Wells Newton who was reared as a brother along side Le’Ophelia. Also Jasmine Wiggins, Anthony (Patricia) Wiggins, Johnny (Sharon) Wiggins, Jonathan ( Renae) Wiggins A host of cousins, neices, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
