Loraine Collins Lester, a beloved Hawkinsville, Georgia native, was born on March 29, 1962, to the late George and Georgia Mae Collins.

Loraine was raised in Hawkinsville, Georgia, where she attended Pulaski County public schools.

At an carly age, Loraine attended New Mount Mariah Church. Later in life, she attended the Church of God by Faith in Warner Robins, Georgia. Her faith and love for her family were important parts of her life.

Loraine was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and love for others. She enjoyed cooking and making sure everyone was fed, thrift shopping, decorating, and gardening. But of all the things she enjoyed, her favorite pastime was simply spending time with her family and friends. She had a way of making those around her feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.

Loraine transitioned peacefully on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue through the family and friends whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Georgia Mae Collins; grandmother, Lillie Mac Simpson; brother, Gregory Simpson; husband, Charles Lester; and granddaughter, Candice Lester:
