As the Angel stood in the door-way and beckoned come with me our beloved Mother Lola Bell Russell age 91 traded this life in Thursday night February 26, 2026 for the life she sang and prayed about. She left quietly surrounded by those who love and treasured all she gave to them and that was love.
One of the Matriarchs of our community. She was known for her melodious voice in our Community, singing in the Beulaland Baptist Church Gospel Choir. One her favorite numbers to sing was “victory, Victory, shall be mine if I hold my peace and let the lord fight my battle I know Victory shall be mine” She gained that victory Thursday Night when caught the evening train. Goodnight may she rest in peace.
